A visitor and good news

There we were sitting out in the sun room when we heard a loud chirping noise - we looked up to see this big guy on the fly screen - he was HUGE - nearly 3" long! Now check out his pretty colors and spots!

We did have good news at the vets - it is only the top of my tooth missing and no root is visible so he is going to leave it alone for the time being and look at removing it when I have my next teeth cleaning.

  2. Whew. I'm glad you don't have to have your tooth extracted right away.

We don't see bugs like that around here. Cool!

  4. Jeez Reilly. I feel bad for you. Your foot is still a bit of a problem and now you have a partial tooth. How'd you do that? No Nylabones they are too hard for doggie's teeth. You might want to skip real bones too. My sheltie brother Jetta had to have a couple of lower teeth removed. Right in front. Mostly you don't notice them missing and he eats just fine. So we're hopeful that your foot will heal up fine. But we'll be back to check in on you.

  7. At least the tooth news wasn't too bad. Bella has taken the top off one of her canines--catching rocks--that has to be watched. That foot just needs to heal soon! We sometimes chase those chirping critters, though ours don't have nice colours.

  9. Aaaaaack! That thing is huge!!!

Glad no dental work has to be done yet. My dog Copper chipped and broke a lot of teeth. I called him a jack o lantern for having like 4 teeth pulled. You have enough going on without worrying about that. Hang in there.

  12. We get the kids to catch those blokes. We get heaps of 'em here and they make an awful mess of the garden. We feed 'em live to the green tree frogs and the bearded dragons. They love 'em and the kids love watchin' 'em get devoured. Crikey ....... how cruel is that?? Quick call the RSPCA!! They also devour cockroaches. No one complains about that. You wouldn't think a green tree frog could catch one of those blokes but they move like greased lightning when they want to.
